Candidates for the 2026-27 General Board.
Megan Briggs
Megan Briggs serves as Director of Finance for Covered Solutions, a freight brokerage based in Libertyville. Prior to joining Covered Solutions, she owned and operated her own business for eight years, successfully growing distribution from local boutiques to 22 Whole Foods Market stores across Texas. Megan is also an active volunteer with Oak Terrace Elementary School and Santa's Volunteers.
Megan would bring an entrepreneurial mindset to the Falcons and is passionate about strengthening community involvement, developing fundraising initiatives, and helping create a positive experience for Falcons families. From the moment her children stepped on the ice as Falcons, they fell in love with the sport, the friendships, and the sense of belonging that comes with being part of the organization. She is grateful for the opportunity to support their passion for hockey and give back to the Falcons community in any way she can.
Megan resides in Highland Park with her family and has two children in the Falcons program — Henry (2018) and Wellie (2021).
Chris Palmer
Chris grew up in the SW Suburbs of Chicago and has been playing hockey since he was four years old. He started playing with the St Jude Knights and made the jump to AAA as a Squirt where he played for TI and CYA until college. After college he played some minor league professional hockey until that page turned due to injury. Chris started coaching back in 2010 and he is a level 4 USA hockey coach. The majority of his coaching career was with Loyola Academy and most recently with Lake Forest High School. He has also coached at Glenview, Wilmette and the Chicago Jets Hockey Clubs.
Professionally he is a Regional Sales Manager for dormakaba Americas and he also owns and operates a woodworking company here in Lake Bluff. He is happy to give back to the hockey community that has given him so much all of these years.
Michael Reich
Michael is the Chief Commercial Officer of Hanson Faso Sales & Marketing and has been with the Company, on a full-time basis, for almost 20 years. His experience in Sales at Hanson Faso and as a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit, Specialty Food Association, will enable him to help the Falcons specifically with fundraising, sponsorships and marketing. He is excited to help the Falcons shift some of the costs of playing and running the organization to new sources like corporate sponsors or an alumni giving fund.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree from Roosevelt University. He lives in Deerfield with his wife and three kids Harper, Hayden and Tyler who is a Falcons Mite.
Stephanie Sylvester
Stephanie Sylvester currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Donato Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth and families through meaningful community programs. In her role, she collaborates with local sports and community organizations to create engaging opportunities for young athletes to learn, grow, and thrive through sports programming.
With a strong background in sports facility management and youth recreation, Stephanie brings valuable operational expertise and a deep understanding of program development. Her experience positions her to provide the Falcons Hockey Association General Board with thoughtful insight and practical knowledge to support effective club operations.
Stephanie is committed to strategic, solutions-oriented leadership and is passionate about fostering inclusive, high-quality programming that benefits all Falcons families.
Stephanie and her husband, Tyler, live in Deerfield with their two sons, Henrik (Squirt) and Keller (Mite), and their dog, Chance. As a family, they enjoy supporting each other’s activities, biking, camping, trying new foods, and traveling to visit family and friends across the country.
