GLASA Falcons Community Service Opportunity - Volunteers Needed...

The Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) Falcons Sled Hockey Team kicks off its 2012-2013 season Sunday, October 7 and is seeking youth and adult volunteers to help facilitate weekly practice at Hot Shot Ice Arena (HSIA).

 

Equipment Assistant:  help players get to and from the locker room, outfitted with gear and ready for on-ice play. Accepting volunteers 12 years and older.  No hockey skill required. 

 

SHIFT 1:  2:45 - 4:30 PM

SHIFT 2:  4:30 - 6:00 PM

 

On-Ice Assistant:  help push and/or mentor sled hockey players on ice during practice and/or scrimmage play.  Accepting volunteers 14 years and older who are proficient skaters with hockey background.  Hockey skates, helmet, gloves and hockey attire required (warm ups or jersey, etc. - no jeans, please).

 

SHIFT 1:  3:15 - 5:00 PM

SHIFT 2:  5:00 - 6:00 PM
