FALCONS 2012-2013 SEASON - TRAVEL HOCKEY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Falcons Hockey 2012-2013 Travel Season is right around the corner. As in years past, the Falcons will provide for Pre-Tryout Conditioning Clinics the week before Tryouts, with Tryouts being conducted during the following week (specific information will be posted soon).

The fees for the 2012-2013 Travel Season (which do not include team slush funds, optional uniform purchases, warm-ups, travel expenses, etc.) are as follows:

  1. Tryout Fee: Each player attending the Pre-Season Conditioning Clinics and/or Tryouts will be required to pay a non-refundable [$150] Tryout Fee. This fee must be paid prior to any player taking the ice at clinics or tryouts. This is a flat fee and will not be pro-rated based upon the number of sessions attended. The Tryout fee will not be credited against the Registration Fees.

During the Pre-Season Conditioning Clinics and Tryouts, each of the players is provided with a substantial number of hours of ice with our top hockey professionals. The purpose of the Tryout Fee is to cover the cost of the ice time and coaches and to make sure that each player that comes out is committed to the Falcons and is not using our coaches and facilities to prepare for playing at other organizations.
  2. Registration Fee: The following sets forth the Registration Season Fees for each level:

Travel Hockey Fees

TRAVEL: Tryout and Pre-Season clinic participation fee ($150)

TRAVEL: Mites (NIHL) ($3050)

TRAVEL: Squirts (NIHL) ($3550.00)

TRAVEL: Peewees (NIHL) ($3550)

TRAVEL: Bantams (NIHL) ($4050)

TRAVEL: Midgets Minor (CSDHL) ($4700.00)

TRAVEL: Midgets Major (CSDHL) ($5100)

GIRLS: U12 (NIHL) ($3350)

GIRLS: U14 (NIHL) ($3350)

GIRLS: U16 (NIHL) ($3350)

All Squirt, Peewee and Bantam Players are to register as a NIHL Participant.  Should a player be selected to a CSDHL team, the price differential between the NIHL and CSDHL fees are to be paid by check to the CSDHL Team Managers by no later than September, 30, 2012.

In order to provide one of the best youth hockey products in the area, the Falcons have made significant investments in coaching, the goalie program and our professional hockey directors. The success of such investments is evident by the number of competitive teams the Falcons have fielded in the past couple of years and the local, regional and national success of such teams. After years of keeping fees flat (most of which are at below market rates), the Falcons are increasing fees to the amounts set forth above so that we can continue to make positive investments in the program and continue our growth and success and to make continuous improvements to maximize the development of all players.

Pre-Season Clinics & Tryouts

Pre-season clincs and tryout schedules will be posted in the next week along with a FAQ regarding the Travel Program.

Please reach out to Adam Lewis at lewis@falconshockey.org if you have any questions.

Important Notes Regarding Travel Jersey & Warm Up Fitting Schedule

Travel Jersey & Warm Up Fitting Schedule will occur during the first two sessions of the Pre-Season Conditioning Clinics (if a player can not attend, alternative dates will be provided). Each player that played Falcons Travel Hockey during the 2011-2012 season will be required to bring his/her travel jerseys from the prior season. If the fitter determines that last season's jersey still fits and is in good condition, the player will not receive new jerseys. The only exceptions for the foregoing are: (a) if a player is required to change his/her number per the Falcons' conflict/priority criteria; or (b) the player pays for his/her new jerseys.
